Quinta do Pedragal
Quinta do Pedragal is located in Nabais, Gouveia, about 600m altitude on the north slope of the Serra da Estrela. This territory has always been worked out by generations of farmers, with a predominance of crops like corn and rye. Today, Quinta do Pedragal has excellent specimens of old olive trees and is characterized as an agricultural unit experienced in the preservation of varieties of fruits and vegetables, which preserve the ancient knowledge.

Brand
Quinta do Pedragal produces some varieties of jams, jellies and marmalade, by taking the advantage of the natural excellence of seasonal fruit. This line of olives distinguishes in three varieties: the conserva de elvas, the cobrançosa and the sevilhana. The organic olive oil stands out as an excellent product and comes from Sevillian olive trees.

Organic Farming
Quinta do Pedragal’s main rule is the valuation of traditional farming practices in organic farming, combining the traditions of land occupation through sustainable practices. In 1999 becomes a reference of this type of agriculture in Serra da Estrela.

Handmade Portuguese Craft
The production of jams is completely handmade, without any dyes or preservatives added, in order to maintain the good practices of traditional agriculture.The most appropriate varieties of each fruit are selected according to criteria such as texture, flavor and consistency, resulting in the production of unique products. All the raw material comes from their own farm, producing small size lots, ensuring the high quality of a product truly handmade.
